How To Achieve 1 month GAMSAT Preparation in 2 weeks

The study tip I’m about to share with you has changed my life. I wish I knew about it last year when I was preparing for the GAMSAT, I’ve been applying this technique to reading books and writing posts on my blog for the last few months. My productivity, mental agility and time management have improved greatly.

I believe you apply this technique to preparing for the GAMSAT and achieve 1 month GAMSAT preparation in 2 weeks!

The study technique is called the Pomodoro technique, you might have come across it in some of the earlier content  I’ve posted on productivity and procrastination.

GAMSAT Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named Pomodoro.  You can apply this method of studying to preparing for the GAMSAT and significantly increase your productivity.

I would recommend starting with 25 minute study sessions separated by 5 mins breaks, then taking a 15 min break on the 4th break. For instance:

Study: 25 mins (start)

Break: 5 mins

Study: 25 mins

Break: 5 mins

Study: 25 mins

Break: 5 mins

Study: 25 mins

Break: 15 mins

Repeat the cycle 3 times. Make sure to stay focussed during each 25 min interval and get rid of any distractions.

When you are able to do 3 cycles with no sweat then increase the interval time: You want to ideally be doing 60 mins intervals with 15 mins break.

Try out this study technique, you will see a drastic improvement and be able to cover 1 month GAMSAT preparation in 2 weeks!
